It’s Day 54 of the 90-Day Novel Challenge.

To be a writer is to sit down at one’s desk in the chill portion of every day, and to write; not waiting for the little jet of the blue flame of genius to start from the breastbone — just plain going at it, in pain and delight. To be a writer is to throw away a great deal, not to be satisfied, to type again, and then again, and once more, and over and over. ~John Hersey

1651 words today (47879 total, 160 1/2 pages). Heroine met up with villain, story now loaded with potential. I figure if I want to get 90,000 words in 90 days (my goal), I need to do at least 1171 words per day for the remaining 36 days. Approx 169 more pages…assuming my story has 329 pages in it.
Can I do it? 36 days to go…

I didn’t write enough to count today. I spent the day grocery shopping, cleaning house, making cupcakes for Saturday Writers group tomorrow.
